For the fans of CAN* (driving) performances
After a deserved rest period, the training of the Norwegian fjord horse stallion Hjellar was starting again early December in view of the competition season 2014. The Belgian owners, Tamara and Kristof, inform us that everything goes fine.
On 22nd of February training under supervision of Jan de Boer was realized and he is the former world champion four-in-hand ponies. On 27th of February condition tests supervised by a veterinarian were done on the race-track in Kuurne resulting in a good base condition of the stallion. Last season the best performances of the stallion were in the disciplines dressage and ability and this means the training now is also focused on the marathon part of the driving competition. Besides all this, Hjellar is trained under the saddle as well. He is strong and almost ready to start a new season. The 2014 program is starting with a first competition on 12th April and includes 14 competitions until beginning of October. Up to end of May dressage and ability are programmed and then marathon will be added. We wish them all the best and are proud to welcome them on the annual stallion show next Saturday 15th of March.
